Personal Experience

Pamela Ann Jirka has a passion to help people. That’s why she has worked in the healthcare field for the past 12 years. At The Christ Hospital, she was assigned to the ACE (Acute Care for the Elderly) unit which specialized in dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. She developed extraordinary coping skills while caring for these elderly men and women who required extra attention each and every day.

While she enjoyed working at The Christ Hospital, she sometimes felt frustrated that she could not spend more individual time with the patients in her care. So, she decided to work in the home health care field, hoping to develop more personalized care for her clients. For the most part, this change was positive. However, in both work places, she became aware of different forms of elder abuse, and she was determined to help those who could not help themselves.

With this goal in mind, she returned to school to become a Paralegal. As part of that Paralegal program, she was required to be an intern in a law office. She hoped she would be assigned to an attorney who cared about people as much as she did. Luckily, Jim Singler at Singler Law sponsored her internship. In Jim, she found a caring, helpful, honest person who treats his clients with respect and who pays close attention to their individual needs. When he asked Pam to continue her career with his office after she finished the Paralegal program, she readily accepted. While this new position is a different form of helping people, Pam feels this is still very rewarding work, and is happy to be part of Singler Law. ï»¿
